  Transcend Series CPAP Machines use a unique waterless HME humidification system rather than a traditional (and bulky) water based humidifier. When using your CPAP the HME captures heat and moisture from the air as you exhale. It then returns heat and moisture to the breathing circuit with each inhalation creating a comfortable, effective and convenient humidified breathing system.

  This Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME) is designed for use with all Transcend CPAP Humidification Systems including those used with the Transcend (Original) Wearable CPAP Machine and the Transcend II Travel CPAP Machine.

  Heat Moisture Exchangers are reusable and should be changed as needed, on average once per week with regular use, when humidification levels appear to drop. When not in use HMEs should be stored in their sealed packaging. The HME will immediately begin to collect moisture and humidity when exposed to air.
