I am so glad that I bought the Transcend EZEX mini CPAP. It works great and I find it to be quiet and easy to use. Having used a CPAP for about 22 years, this is definitely my favorite system so far. Looking forward to my next trip and being able to pack this super light weight machine for airport travel. Excellent product. By Mary B, PA
Light Weight/Durable/ Great for travel and camping
I got my Transcend in the last weeks with the larger P8 battery. I am on 6 mm H2O and got 3 nights use 6-8 hours on the battery. Recently took it backpacking in the Adirondacks for a 2 night trip, and worked great. Overall weight with the machine, larger battery, light weight hose, and mask is less than 3 pounds. I don't use added water in the summer or travel, and didnt get that attachment for this. Little noisier than my home one, but did not bother my neighboring tent mates and didnt keep me awake. I'm planning on a longer 10+ day camping trip and cannot afford to go without my Cpap for that long. Only complaint is that I tried to connect a previous owned backpackers solar panel, and could not get a connection attachment to fit ...yet. Technology is great with smaller sizes. Highly recommend this. By Survival Medic, North Country, New York
I so wanted this machine to live up to my expectations. Unfortunately, it falls short.
Given its diminutive size, I never expected it to perform as well as my larger, Respironics Remstar model; but I at least expected some expiratory relief pressure. This model is, after all, called "EZEX", which i assume means "easy exhale". The EXP function is barely detectable. A few seconds into my exhale, it's almost like there's a 'block", which stops my exhale in midstream.
It should be noted, I returned my Transcend EZEX, assuming it was defective. I was told the settings, including the optimum EXP setting, "3" weren't "saved". Unfortunately, the returned device performed no better.
I was hoping the Transcend would allow more room in my carry on bag, but this machine won't be making too many trips. I'm aware everything in life is a compromise but this little device isn't worth the trouble.
One positive note: while its performance is subpar, the rechargeable lithium battery easily lasts the entire night. Which means about the only time I'll be using this machine is in the event of a power outage. By Steve, Chicago area
Small, Compact and Effective
I wanted to get a CPAP machine that I could take camping / Backpacking. So the weight & size had to be right and have the ability to run off rechargeable batteries. This one fit the bill. It is also very quiet so as to not create a problem for those sharing small spaces together. Haven't had the chance for camping, but did take on a 4 day business trip and it did quite well. Would give it 5 stars but it needs just a little more indication what ramp time is and how to adjust. I like a quick ramp up (5 min), but didn't know how to adjust the settings to change and view. Really Small! Fits in my Bottle Holder
Wow, the Transcend is really small! It fits in the bottle holder on the side of my backpack so it's easy to take out for security at airports, and the EZEX thing is good like the C Flex on my Remstar Plus By Tony R., Buffalo NY
