The Hybrid is a unique fusion of technologies, designed to work as a nasal interface, an oral interface, and a combination of the two. The design of the Hybrid, and its adjustable headgear, promotes comfort by eliminating pressure points on the forehead and across the bridge of the nose; in addition the built-in chin flap gently supports the chin to ensure optimal performance.
Our Hybrid Mask Pack comes with premium headgear, all available pillow and cushion sizes (Small, Medium & Large) so that you'll be sure to find your best fit!
Universal Design with Nasal Pillows & Oral Interface: The universal design of the Hybrid CPAP/BiPAP Mask combines the best of nasal pillows and full face masks, promoting comfort and therapy compliance by eliminating pressure points on the forehead and across the bridge of the nose. With Hybrid you can breath through your mouth or your nose or both. You can breath your way!
Updated Premium Adjustable Headgear: Hybrid's premium headgear is highly adjustable at five separate points providing a better seal and increased overall support. Quick release buckles make the mask easy to put on and remove.
Convenient Under Chin Support: The Hybrid's built in chin flap provides support under the chin making it ideal for mouth breathers, and eliminating the need for a chinstrap.
No Forehead Support or Nasal Bridge Contact: Because the Hybrid doesn't have a forehead support or a traditional full face mask frame pressure, pinch, and leak points -- at the top of the head and around the nasal bridge -- are eliminated and people who wear glasses can do so with ease.
I love the Hybrid 500 Full Face CPAP mask. Once you have the head gear set and face mask secure it is a non evasive mask. It is easy to take off and put on and very quite. Multiple sizes allow you to get the right fit. However someone going through menopause will feel claustraphobic and the mask gets very sweaty. I usually order 2 masks at a time.By Cathy, 11-07-2016
You have to be patient, and really cinch the headgear tight, especially the over the top of the head strap, that is what holds the nasal pillows in place. Plus you have to play with the different sizes of pillows to get just the right fit. I have to look in the mirror each time I put it on, to get the pillows in exactly, but now that I have warn it for a couple of weeks, it only takes a minute or two. I only wish the chin guard was made of fabric, or fabric lined, the silicone gets hot and it sticks.By Annie, 08-10-2016
I wasn't sure I would like this mask when I ordered it, but it works great. It has a lot of potential for leaks, so it needs to be properly fitted and adjusted. After that, it does its job well. I am satisfied with the quality and performance.By Jack B, 06-23-2016
I ordered this with high hopes that this is the mask I've been looking for, but even though the idea has merit it is lacking in a couple differ areas (at least for me). First fit, the built in chin strap barely fit under my chin which made seating the mask a challenge. Now I do want to say I have a goatee, but I had read that this mask was good for those with facial hair. Second, I keep a pretty good eye on my machines logs (i.e. large leaks, APH, etc...) this was the first mask I have ever used that had 100% leakage for the night. After a little closer examination I found there is a plastic flap on the connector tube that just hangs open and no matter how hard I tried the flap would never seal properly. I used it the one night and now it just sits in it's really nice case. I think they should have put more emphasis not the mask and less on the case.By pkelly, 02-17-2016
I have never been able to tolerate any other mask but this particular one...it is literally a life saver....By Janice S, 10-23-2015
Pressure setting is 14 CFM. Bought this to resolve air leaks into my eyes with a full face mask. Did not fall in love with it at first but there was no going back to air leaks. Glad I persevered. Here are some tips: First don't go large on the mouth pad. Logically a person goes with the size that frees their mouth to speak but when your sleeping your not speaking so go with the size that fits into the contours around your mouth to create a good seal. Second chose a nasal prong size that creates a seal within a quarter inch inside your nares. If need be, change and mix and match different sizes of both and you will soon notice which set naturally feels better and create a seal. After months of wearing I grew tired of the silicon bridge between the nasal prongs (it pushed on my septum) so I cut it off (try it on an obsolete size first.) Amazing I discovered that I could tip the prongs inward and backward to meet the angle placement of my nares in relation to the mask because of a ring design in the prongs used for seating the seal. And finally once on I hold a finger over the antiasphyxia valve and release so that the air pressure pops it into correct position. I read complaints that hybrids are noisy or are for low pressure users. What I discovered with my trying different combinations what that once I found my personal combination (small mouth and medium prongs) I cannot feel the mask on my face and it is perfectly silent. I you are hearing sound even through the exit ports then try the antiasphyxia valve first to resolve it and if that doesn't then likely a seal issue to resolve.By Lynne B, 09-11-2015
I bought this because the ones the insurance's provider gave me leaked under full pressure and they wouldn't give me another. This one was poor quality compared to my others and leaked under low pressure. Do not waste your money.By Andrew, 05-28-2015
The concept is great. The results for me are terrible.By JP Garcia, 05-18-2015
I've been using cpap equipment for over 15 years, and this has got to be the worst mask ever. After twenty minutes, I threw it in the garbage. The headgear is really hard to navigate, and the mask leaks badly.By era777, 05-15-2015
Good mask and come complete with head strap and several replacement parts. The only setback is that if you move too much during sleep tend to have gaps and the air is released. For the rest is a great mask..By Wallace I, 04-13-2015
Worst mask ever. The nasal pillows will not seal properly. By Sleepy, 02-04-2015
I bought the mask for my dad in hopes to give him more comfort and less restriction. The nose pillows hurt his nose too much and we never could get a good seal.By Victor, 01-29-2015
Thanks to the fit pack you always get the right size. If you have a larger face like I do I highly recommend trying it.By Big girl, 12-24-2014
Ordered this mask in hopes of having it solve the problem of the overnight sleep test done on a regular bases. It was a total failure it made the reading and fit worse.By Paul L, 12-15-2014
I opened the package with great anticipation, as I have had problems with my nasal pillows. OK, well I've had problems keeping my mouth closed during the night, in spite of chin straps. When I saw this hybrid as an option, I jumped at the chance to purchase it. Despite following the fitting video to the letter and trying every possible combination of sizes or mask and pillows, I still get chronic leaking at the pillows with the slightest of movement. The quality of sleep definitely suffered. Also, the material for the headgear was cheap. After less than one week, the tension had caused the straps to become permanently thinned so the velcro was actually wider than the straps. I guess I'll go back to the plain nasal pillows and deal with dry mouth.By ISP 2006, 12-10-2014
Total fail. I was so looking forward to using this one but it was a total fail. By ken, 11-23-2014
This is the 4th mask that I have tried out and the only one that I can sleep with. I tried the full face mask and felt very claustrophobic. I then tried the very small mask for the nose only. I was not able to keep my mouth closed even with the chin strap. It was also so easy to come off that I found it on the floor by my bed several times a night. I then tried the mask that is the mouth only that is similar to a mouth guard for sports. It came with a plug for the nose (which didn't stay in place very well). This mask allows me to breathe through my mouth or my nose! It is very small and comfortable. I was skeptical of the nasal piece, but they stay in place really well. I love that it comes with multiple sizes so you will get the best fit possible. VERY PLEASED!!By rhajarthurs, 11-15-2014
My first mask was a ResMed Mirage Liberty. It worked OK but when an attachment for the head harness broke, I couldn't buy just that front plastic piece anywhere. A replacement of this mask runs about $220. So I began looking at other models. There was only 1 other hybrid model which cost less that 50% of my previous one! Well, that was good news and it looked almost the same, so I decided to give it a try. Right out of the box, I saw that the largest mouth insert was smaller than the largest one on the ResMed model and when I tried it on, a full seal was difficult to get. Out of curiosity, I tried the medium one, which provided a perfect seal (much better than even the large ResMed). What a pleasant surprise. After this discovery, I ordered a 2nd one for backup. This unit has a chin shelf which prevents a seal leak when my jaw goes slack while I sleep. The harness clips are different than the first mask. I prefer the other style, but one gets used to these, after a couple of tries. The head harness fits differently, with this unit's being far superior for me. With both the chin shelf and higher connections from the harness, my jaw can not move, causing a seal leak. Everyone is different, so these factors that are perfect for me, may not be of any use to others. However, for ResMed hybrid users, the fact that it is less than 50% of the cost of their hybrid, it's really great.By Stuart, 10-31-2014
will not stop leaking !!!By gary, 10-22-2014
Although there is some minor leakage, it's the best of all the masks I've tried over the past 6 or 7 years. I like the built in chin support, and the fact the mask doesn't cover my whole face - and it doesn't interfere with putting on or taking off my glasses when I want to read at night. By PG, 09-15-2014
Once I get it adjusted so its not leaking, if I move it starts leaking again. I wakeup and have to start over. I have to use a chin strap or I can not stop the leaking.By Bruce H, 06-26-2014
I am a mouth breather so I needed a mask for both the nose and mouth. Full face masks would leave marks on my face. I like the fact that different size nasal pillows and chin supports are shipped with the mask. I have used it for several weeks and I am very pleased.By Doug, 06-11-2014
It is a small devise but I love it. I may have a little bit of problems with the nasal casual but I do my bestBy Betty, 05-02-2014
Transitioning from a Swift to a HYB500 was good. Due to the dreaded Hot Flashes it does loose it's seal when you steam up but it a comfy fit not obstructive. Easy to put on even in the dark. By Cathy, 04-17-2014
My husband used the regular mask because he breathes through his mouth when he sleeps but it puts too much pressure on the upper part of the nose, and can cause an ulcer. With this Hybrid nasal pillow, it holds his mouth slightly open allowing him to breathe his normal way but does not place pressure anywhere. It is great! By Carmen, 03-28-2014
I have to have this mask when I have a cold. I like it a lot. It leaks less than any full face I've used. I really like the pillows and if you wear them up high you can always use a headband to hold them in place all night if you toss and turn a lot. This is actually a great mask. Seriously. By Francis, 03-18-2014
I have tried several pieces that came with the hybrid and I can't get a good fit. By N2flyn, 03-16-2014
this is the second Hybrid mask i've had and this one works really well. the first one had no adjustable pillows. this one seems fit better and it was less expensive.By TR, 01-09-2014
This thing is a joke leaks like crazy, hurts tmj.By Glenn, 01-08-2014
leaked with a mustache and Goatee.By Steve, 11-20-2013
I like the idea and was really hoping it would work but kept getting woken up by air streaming out around my nostrils. Tried it 2 nights in a row. Could not get a good seal with the nasal pillows when on my side (and I'm a side only sleeper). Tried different size pillows to no avail. By Howard G, 07-17-2013
I purchased with some hesitation. I had try using nasal pillows, nasal mask, and a full mask and hated them all. This mask is awesome! ItBy Lance, 05-08-2013
This mask could use more in the nose nipple to obtain a better seal. However, it is very comfortable and performes well. By TOM, 02-28-2013
I have had this mask a little over a week and LOVE it so far... It took me a few days to get it adjusted to my face... ended up with the SMALL mouth piece and MEDIUM nasal cushions... but once I got it adjusted for me, I have slept GREAT... there IS a small whistle every once in a while that can be annoying... but all in all it is a GREAT mask... I HIGHLY recommend it if you don't like the full face mask that covers the nose!By Tania, 02-12-2013
I found this mask to be uncomfortable at best. I bought it to replace my 2 year old resmed Mirage Liberty. Not very well designed. Despite all the spare parts there is no combination that worked for me. I ended up having to modify a cushion just to get the pillows to seal.By Bruce P, 02-01-2013
This is the first non-traditional full face mask that I've ever tried and I'm very happy with it. The mask was easy to get a good fit and adjust. It's very quiet with minimal noise. I would suggest that we use a humidifier. With the full face, I haven't had to use one but with the directed airflow into your nasal passages they dry out quickly. By Ed, 01-29-2013
Nearly impossible to use. Several sizes included, all for small people, and not being petite, I was down to one choice size-wise right off the bat. I couldn't even figure out a way to put it on and use it, even after watching the video. It simply doesn't work.By Bob, 01-15-2013
I have tried 3 masks and this hybrid mask is the best so far. The headgear is easy to put on and the air leakage is minimal even when sleeping on your side. However there is no quick release for your hose and I'm still getting minimal red marks on my face from the straps not from the mask.By LARRY F., 01-10-2013
I wore a standard full mask for 2 years suffering terrible nose bridge pain and a lot of leaks. I am so grateful that I found this hybrid mask. It is so comfortable and very effective. I highly recommend the hybrid style mask and I have had no problems whatsoever with this particular model. It's all great!By Ann, 05-31-2012
I have used the Hybrid mask since it came on the market. It took some getting used to, but after a few adjustments it is the only mask I will use now. One thing I did to make mine more comfortable is to create a cloth cover (like my own version of a Remzzzz's). It has been the best. I made a pattern and used an old jersey t-shirt. I place it over the cushion and no more leaks and less marks on my face. Made the mask so much more comfortable. Can't find any ready-made to make your own. By Ellie R, 04-05-2012
I've gone through a long line of masks. I figured out that I have to have nose pillows + mouth coverage. I only found two models: this one, and "Brand B." I first had one from Brand B. Brand B was as comfortable as this one, but the pivot on it broke (beyond repair) in two months. For comfort AND durability, this is literally the ONLY mask for me.By P.H., 03-20-2012
