TAP PAP Nasal Pillow CPAP/BiPAP Mask Setup Pack

TAP PAP CPAP MASKIf you've suffered with mask leaks and instability, painful pressure points or annoying strap marks; the TAP PAP may just be the solution you're looking for.

Unlike most masks, the barely there TAP PAP Nasal Pillow CPAP/BiPAP Mask does not require headgear. Instead TAP PAP uses a unique "adaptive frame" and customizable mouthpiece to stabilize the mask and nasal pillows below the nostrils for a comfortable, leak free fit.

The TAP PAP's mouthpiece is made of a soft, moldable polymer that is easily customized to provide an exceptionally stable and secure fit without pinching or pressure points. Once fitted the TAP PAP mouthpiece will not move or leak and does not require headgear; it fits snugly on your upper teeth without crowding the mouth or tongue.

Held in place by the mouthpiece, the TAP PAP's adaptive frame automatically aligns and stabilizes the mask regardless of movement or position during sleep. TAP PAP's precision aligned nasal pillows rest gently on the entrance to the nostrils, without excess pressure or deep insertion peaceful night's sleep.

TAP PAP Nasal Pillow CPAP/BiPAP Mask

It took me two tries to get the mouthpiece to fit, and a couple of nights to get used to it, but now it feels great. It's a little uncomfortable when you first put it in because it takes a couple of minutes for your teeth to warm the mouthpiece up. I'm sleeping better because the mask isn't shifting every time I move. I sleep on my side and have had some trouble with other masks staying put, but this on does. It's nice because you don't have straps to adjust and marks on your face in the morning from what I call mask squeeze . It's a lot easier to care for because it has less pieces to clean every morning. The videos are very accurate. I give it an A+

I've been a cpap user since 2007 and have tried many different mask s. The new tap pap mask is by far the best - I am getting superior rest as this mask does not leak. It is quiet, very comfortable and most importantly as already stated, it does not leak no matter how much I toss and turn. It did take me several tries to mold the mouth piece - but well worth the effort to keep trying until I got a proper seal. Highly recommend this mask.

So Comfortable!!!

I have tried so many masks and nasal pillows that I was about to give up on finding something that did not leave marks on my face or irritate my nose. This mask is wonderful. It stays in place all night long and I can adjust it so that it doesn't push on my nose to cause irritation. Fitting the mouthpiece was simple and it is so thin that you get used to it right away. I tried others like this and they ended up hurting my jaw. Not this one. It is the best. Well worth the price. I can now sleep all night long without having to adjust for leaks. It is very quiet too. I have been a CPAP user for 12 years and this is the first time that I have felt compelled to leave a review.

I think this is the greatest concept for a mask ever. I can move, no straps to leave marks on my face, no pinching around nasal bridge, sleep all night. Only thing that is difficult is fitting the mouth piece, not sure I have it right yet. Plastic is hard and hurts if not fitted properly. All in all I like this just wish the plastic mouth piece was softer.

I have had several pillow masks since my first CPAP in 2004. This is by far the best one I have ever used. I do not use the straps and so no irritation on my face or head. It stays firmly in place and allows me to sleep on either side or my back and roll form side to side without leakage.

Most comfortable device ever. Needs no headgear, special pillows, etc. Mouthpiece is easily molded for comfortable fit & nasal pillows are adjustable with one easy motion. No leaking or waking me up - like a mask. I have to use a mouthpiece at night due to clenching my teeth - so I just replaced mine with this one--"2 Birds with one stone". Much better than the "No mask" by CPAP Pro, which I also tried.

The connection on the mouth piece needs to be taller so those of us men that have more distance between mouth and nose are better fitted.

Best nasal system ever
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5
I have used different nasal pillows and masks for 20 years. I bought the TAP PAP to use because I am going to have face surgery and needed something that wouldn't touch. To my delight, this doesn't touch the face and is the best nasal pillow I have ever used. From the first night there was no leaking, stays in place and I can sleep on my side with no problem. Great product. Just make sure to fit the mouth piece correctly. I did it twice with second time working perfectly. First time, I got it too tight. I highly recommend this.

I have been trying to use the Tap Pap for about week now. The first night was great! Slept through the night with no mask issues waking me up. Second night it felt like the mouth piece was shrinking and woke up to a terrible toothache. Warmed the mouthpiece and reformed it again but as it cools it seems like it shrinks. No matter how well it fits and feels when warm once it sits for a while it is so painful that I cannot wear it. I really do want this to work because of the great sleep I got the first night. I hope that I can figure out the issue.

So glad this Tap Pap mask is available. I recently had a sleep study done and not once did it have a leak. No marks on my face, from straps, or mask. I always get the ultra fine filters and regular sponge filters because I live in the mountains and dust is a big problem and I have allergies.

BEST mask ever...but it takes a little getting used to
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5
I read a lot of reviews before making this purchase and several people talked about the shrinking mouth piece causing discomfort. It certainly takes some getting used to, but after four or five nights the discomfort is gone. The next adjustment was getting the nasal pillows to sit correctly. Now I have a mouthpiece that fits tight but is pain-free and a mask that delivers a good night's sleep. I actually find myself checking to make sure it's even on! The only downside is the front facing vent blows out a good 12-15 inches...not great if share your bed. Overall I'm thrilled and always amazed at how tough it is to break the seal when taking the mouthpiece off in the morning. Not complaining...it's that tight fit that keeps the mask where it's supposed to be.

For the most part I like it. I had trouble with the mouth piece. It was too tight and had a very hard time taking it off, so I redid it. The second it was better, but having to reshape it made it not work as well as it should have. The plastic start to cover under the mouthpiece, so when I bit down it was uneven with my bottom teeth (I filed it down). I recommend that you don't mold it to tightly with the front teeth. I also had a hard time adjusting the nasal pillows so they weren't too tight, but I think that I have finally resolved that situation.

They must have had me in mind when they invented this mask. I don't like straps over my head and I have to wear a night guard anyway for bruxism and this mask solves it all. I did find at first that the nasal pillows came out a bit easily but after a few months I have had no more issues. This is a great mask.

Life Saver!
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5
After 4+ years trying to combat sleep apnea with a night appliance (mouthpiece to hold my airway open), it became clear that it wasn't working anymore. So I upgraded to a CPAP machine. I started out with a nose mask rather than full-face because I almost never have any problem with nasal congestion, even if I have a cold. It helped somewhat, but the darned thing was so uncomfortable I rarely got a decent night's sleep. After 5 or 6 hours, I had to take the stupid thing off and get up. It left a raw spot under my nose where the seal jammed up against it, so after a few nights of repeated lip tenderization, it got that much harder to even fall asleep, let alone stay asleep. I considered going to a full-face mask or maybe nasal pillows, but I saw a forum post extolling the virtues of the TAP PAP nasal pillow system. I checked it out, and it looked like a winner to me. Was it ever! cpapXchange shipped it to me right on time, and I had it all set up in less than 15 minutes, including the time to read the instructions. I really like that it comes with all three pillow sizes, so you can experiment. Medium worked best for me. I also got the head strap, but only used it a few times. It seemed like a good idea, but it's too limiting. Unless you have a bed set-up that's ideal for the hose to come out the top of your head, it doesn't have any advantage. A few hints: 1. This mask works best if you can suspend the CPAP hose from about 12 inches above your pillow. My bed is up against the wall, so I used a picture hanger and a piece of dental floss to hold up the hose. It works great: it keeps the hose out of the way so you don't have to rearrange it every time you roll over. 2. The pillows can be easily positioned and locked into place with the knob. The knob and bolt are rugged enough for repeated repositioning, so don't be shy about fiddling with it. I tried getting the "perfect setting" and leaving it there, but that doesn't seem like the optimal technique. It works better (for me, anyway) to a) loosen the knob, b) insert the mouthpiece, then c) bring the pillows up to your nostrils so they seal, then tighten the knob; d) fiddle until it feels comfortable. 3. Vaseline works well for improving the seal and keeping the plastic from irritating your upper lip. I had no trouble with the mouthpiece tightening up or getting at all uncomfortable. Maybe it's because I wore mouthpieces on both jaws for over 4 years and got used to the sensation; I don't know. One of my molars has a crown, and I was worried the thing would tug it loose or something, but no problem.

I love this mask. It is so comfortable and there was no "break in" time. My old mask made my face red and scaley where the straps touched my skin. no more marks and no more burning sensations. Yeah!!!

I have used cpap mask for 10+ years and have very few issues, other than my local service company. I have had some rash, sores and especially deep lines on face from mask. Finally decided to try a nasal pillow mask. While a new product with only 5 reviews, it was a 5 star product listing. I ordered the mask, received it very quickly (7 stars) and fitted it same day. While afternoon, I thought I would put it on and see how it felt in different positions. Woke up an hour later. Tried it that night and around midnight had to remove it for extremely dry mouth. The listing provided a headset for $ extra which I bought, it is useless and waste of money. What they should have added is the chin strap for $. Got that today and tried. It keeps mouth shut with no issues and still extremely comfortable. I will review again after a week or so of use and may jump back to 5 stars. Only went to 4 stars as I was disappointed in not getting chin strap up front.

Was very impressed at how easy it was to set this up. The mouthpiece works great and was simple to fit. The quick adjustment of the nasal pillows when putting it on in the evening, makes the bedtime routine fast. Easy to quick clean the mouthpiece in the morning during your routine.

TAP PAP
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5
I was very surprised that I could sleep with the Tap Pap, day one and actually liked it. Is does allow you to turn and is very quiet, small and light with no leaks around your nose. My issues are the hose can get caught behind your pillow which stops you from turning. I just try to keep my pillow tight to the head board. I did read that someone hung the hose from the top of their headboard and it solved the issue. The other concern is the mouth piece. I have had to reheat it a couple times. It seems to shrink after a couple days.

Less is more. No straps and nothing contacts your face except the nose pillows. Just be sure not to set the mouthpiece too tight and this mask the the king of comfort.

Product is well made but really needs head gear, not supplied, and my machine does not have preheated air and for some reason the air gets really cold going directly into your nose. Its winter now and we keep the house reasonably cold at night which I like, 61 or 62 F

Tap works well good idea BUT the mouth piece has moved my teeth and my bite has become bad. I have to spend big $ fixing my teeth with my Dentist. I followed the directions the hard mouth piece does not stay the way it was when I set it.

It did not work for me. There were not enough adjustments to stop air leaks. My machine has 14 lbs pressure and I tried but could not stop air leaks. There is nothing wrong with your service.

As with most users, I have tried 4-5 different masks and setups. All were not made for my "side-sleeping" nature. This is the MOST comfortable and with no leakage at all. It is hands down the best choice for anyone who may sleep on their stomach or side. CpapExchange has been wonderful to deal with also!

I have had two different CPAP head gear. Hated both because the straps on my head drove me CRAZY. I had the opportunity to see and touch an oral gear but did not like the tubes going down my chest. I decided to take the 30 day trial on the Tap Pap and I love it!!! Took a few days to get used to the nice fit across my top teeth, but now it is like it's not there. I can toss and turn, sit up and etc. and the gear does not move. The tube over my head took a few but I am a side sleeper and loved that too. Glad I took the chance!!!

Tap Pap Mouthpiece for mask

I have tried a variety of masks for BiPAP over the last 15 years and have found the Tap Pap mask which uses a moldable mouthpiece. About every 6 months the mouthpiece needs to be replaced. The mouthpiece actually holds the nasal prongs in place, without the need for straps across my face. I love this mask because it does not leave indentations on my face from the mask. The mouthpiece is easily molded to the upper teeth using the directions.

I have used Cpap-Pro Plus for years and when I saw this device for $99 with a 90 day money back guarentee I decided to try it. It did provide a great seal but it left my nose extremely sore. I will stick with my previous product.

Just Didn't Work For Me
3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5
I had such high hopes when I saw this nasal mask. I am fairly new to CPAP, and the worst part has been the sense of "confinement" with the headgear. I tried this mask over several days. The fitting of the mouthpiece was just as directed and easy to accomplish. However, I was never able to get a consistent seal with the nasal pillows. It was almost as if the length of the arm holding the nasal pillows was not quite long enough, and although I could get them seated initially, they would leak almost immediately no matter what I tried. I think a headgear to help stabilize the nasal mask might have helped, but of course that was what I was trying to get away from. I know masks fit very individually, and this one was not for me. It will go back. However, I have been really pleased with the prices and service at cpapxchange, and will continue to shop here.

No Straps!!!!
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5
This is better than nasal pillows or masks in its stability. Never have leaks!! The mouthpiece is moldable, and very small. It sometimes makes my mouth water a bit, but the freedom to have nothing on the sides of my face is great freedom I'm newer to CPAP and in a few nights I got totally comfortable with this system over the others.
