  Insurance allows two a year. Of course there is the deductible etc. It is just easier to buy when they are on sale and stock pile a supply. Service was quick. Web site was easy to use.

  My husband and I have been using a CPAP machine for over 10 years now. We have always used the black reusable foam filters. They are great since you can take them out and wash them and use them more than once. I recently also purchased the fine white filters that are not reusable. They really catch a lot of dirt that would otherwise go into your lungs. I would recommend purchasing both filters and changing the white one as necessary and clean the black ones often.

  The insurance company suggests changing these every six months. I find that they get too dirty in that amount of time. Since breathing clean air is important to me, I replace them every 4 months. For the small amount of money they cost, it is better for me to replace them more often and breath cleaner air.

  This fit like a charm, does the job as expected. Reusable or not it is good practice to change this filter periodically anyway as frequent washing of it can cause it to begin to break apart and get into your CPAP compressor, possibly even going through the machine into the breathing hose and mask in a minute size so this is a normal maintenance item with a life span which will need replacement. As with my other items ordered, they were shipped quickly and well boxed and while I am at it mention the hoses I purchased along with filters on a previous order which were all well received as well, still working with one in reserve in case of a tear as what was the case with the OEM from Respironics aver a period of time. I have found my source for CPAP parts and supplies.
