Fixed Heating Mode: The Fixed Heating Mode on the DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier will allow you to apply constant heat to the heated humidifier plate, regardless of the humidity level in the room.
Adaptive Heating Mode: The Adaptive Heating Mode for the DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier automatically monitors ambient humidity levels and adjusts the heat settings throughout the night to continue to provide a comfortable humidity level. Using the Adaptive Heating Mode can help reduce the chance of any condensation build up in the tubing.
Preheat Option: The Preheat option on the DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier allows you to heat up your humidifier 30 minutes prior to use, making your therapy that much more comfortable from the moment you put your mask on.
Dry Box Technology: Dry Box Technology for the DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier was designed to help reduce the chance of water damage when the optional humidifier is used your machine. If any water were to escape from the water chamber, the Dry Box is designed to trap the water within the walls of the unit to prevent water from traveling through the machine and humidifier connection. Additionally, the air outlet port uses a one way valve to prevent water from exiting the water chamber and entering the machine.
Optional Heated Tubing: Using the optional heated tubing with your DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier may decrease the chances of rainout while providing warmth in to the air you are breathing. As warm air is moves from the humidifier to the machine, the heated tube maintains an elevated temperature to ensure heated air is delivered to you. When the warm air is pulled into the hose, the temperature of the hose works to prevent environmental temperatures from cooling the warm air inside the tube.
Adding Humidification Makes For More Comfortable Therapy: Up to 80% of CPAP/BiPAP users complain of upper airway or nasal symptoms which can occur due to cold, dry air during therapy. Unfortunately these symptoms may be so severe that treatment is discontinued. The nasal mucosa is responsible for heating and humidifying the air we breath. Research has shown the increased airflow of CPAP/BiPAP can overwhelm our natural ability to humidify inspired air. As a result, the nasal mucosa may become dry, irritated and swollen. The DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier adds heated humidification to any DreamStation Series CPAP or BiPAP machine, maintaining mucosal hydration and preventing discomfort.
