A unique alternative to bulky water based humidifiers, HME Humidifiers capture heat and moisture from your CPAP/BiPAP therapy air and exhalations, preserving and increasing humidity to prevent your throat from drying out. HME Humidifiers are a great option for travel or any time when a bulky heated humidifier may be impractical.
These HME Humidifiers include a special fine filter layer that provides bacterial viral filtration efficiencies of 99.99% ensuring you have clean, pure air to breathe and comfortable humidity levels too!
Heat Moisture Exchange (HME) humidification has been used for decades in hospitals and labs; and now HME CPAP/BiPAP Humidifier Filters are available for users at home and when traveling as well! When using your CPAP/BiPAP the HME Filter captures heat and moisture from the air as you exhale. It then returns heat and moisture to the breathing circuit with each inhalation creating a comfortable, effective and convenient humidified breathing system.
For years CPAP/BiPAP users have been prone to increased allergies and sickness due to impurities in sleep therapy air. These HME Filters include a built in Bacterial Viral filter layer, that works in conjunction with your machine's built in filters, to actively clean the air you breathe to provide exceptionally clean therapy air.
These HME Humidifiers are easy to install and should not require re-calibration on most CPAP/BiPAP machines. Simply attach the HME between your mask and your standard CPAP/BiPAP tubing. After that, turn on your machine and experience a steady flow of humidified sleep therapy air.
Usage Information: Heat Moisture Exchange Humidifiers / Bacterial Viral Filters are disposable and should be replaced when humidification levels begin to drop or the white filter material begins to look dirty -- usually about once a week with proper storage and nightly use. When not in use HME Humidifiers / BV Filters should be stored a sealed plastic bag (i.e. a ZipLock). The HME will immediately begin to collect moisture and humidity when exposed to air.
Usage Notes: Use of In-line Heat Moisture Exchange Humidifiers / Bacterial Viral Filters may adversely effect auto sensing on Auto-CPAP machines especially at low pressures (below 7cm).
Works well. Good for travel leaving water reservoir home, also eliminating the need to trying to fine distilled water. By bigjimf21, 04-19-2018
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works. It is great for traveling. I am also using it at home as well. Each one lasts me 7 days. Excellent product. By gaylegoodson, 02-13-2018
I travel where I can't get distilled water like Europe etc. Also handy if I run of water at home and can't get out to get more. It works great! I would use them more at home if they were less expensive.By sunshinelady416, 06-30-2017

Great service. I felt as a person that was helped!!!!By Gaspar, 12-05-2016
At home, I use a big and bulky CPAP with humidifier. I bought a lightweight Transcend machine for travel, no humidifier. UGH, bloody noses after a few days. Then I discovered these HME filters. They don't work as well as my big CPAP, but help a great deal. Each one lasts about a week. Nose problem solved. Happy traveler.By Pat, 07-26-2016
I tried one of these at home for about 5 nights. I have to say that they really work. I felt that I didn't need a humidifier with one - which will help with my upcoming travel plans. They also reduce the air noise by quite a bit. When I first turned my machine on, I wondered if it was actually on. However, it might actually cut the pressure because of it. I wasn't too worried since I have an Auto CPAP and it could adjust if needed, but for others this might cause issues. I will still use a humidifier at home, but for travel, these are excellent and I can leave the bulky humidifier at home.By Jeff, 07-19-2016
Nice price for a great filter. These filters work great for keeping moisture in the system and not giving me that sand paper feeling in the morning. If you don't want to lug around a humidifier on the road, this is a great substitute. I have been gone five days a week for 4 months, and this has worked fine for me on the road.By Sean, 04-10-2016
No info came with this so I went back online to read more. Turns out this is a ONE TIME USE product (they say it can be used for a week in the full description) and this particular one (with the bacterial viral filter) may not work with auto cpap machines (which is what I have).By Disappointed, 09-23-2015
