Gel nasal pillows cushions from Philips Respironics come standard with all Nuance & Nuance Pro CPAP/BiPAP Masks. Three nasal pillows sizes -- Small, Medium, Large -- are available.
These remarkable Nuance / Nuance Pro nasal pillows are infused with a ring of soft, flexible gel that rests on the outside of the nostrils to create a secure seal without pressure or pinching.
Compatibility Information: These nasal pillows are designed for use with all Nuance & Nuance Pro CPAP/BiPAP Masks. Any pillow size will fit on any Nuance or Nuance Pro mask so if you find you want to try a different size you can simply purchase a new nasal pillows cushion rather than having to buy a whole new mask.
I've had one nostril on at least two different gel nasal pillow cushions burst. They are filled with a viscous gel substance, and if and when they do burst, they are still usable, at least for a little while, although expect to be cutting off bits of the protruding gel, and eventually all of the gel will be pushed out through the hole. The latest pillows cushion that I used (and that I'm now ordering a replacement for) had the gel on each creating a large gel sac on its bottom corner opposing the nose, and eventually it burst on one of the nostrils; this has not previously occurred. These blew out after about 8 months of probably more frequent than average use. I'm only using them because I have a Nuance Mask that still works, although after maybe 5ish months the elasticity of the bands starts failing.By SleepyTortiseshell, 10-25-2017
