Sit in a comfortable chair.
Have an assistant measure the circumference around the chin to the back of the neck, below the ears. The tape should be horizontal to the floor.
If the circumference is less than 21 inches, choose Small
If the circumference is between 21 and 23 inches, choose Medium.
If the circumference is greater than 23 inches, choose Large
Finally s chin strap you don't have to adjust. Stays put and does not cause my nasal pillow mask to move. Written by dndaughtrey, 2017-11-25
No adjustments. Fits so much better and truly holds mouth shut. First time I could use my nasal pillows for 8 hours. This strap is the only way to have a chin strap that doesn't move throughout the night. Written by dndaughtrey, 2017-11-24
The PureSom Ruby Fixed Size Chinstrap that I received in size Large was only a tiny amount larger than a Medium size PureSom Ruby Fixed Size Chinstrap that I already had. It is a very tight fit and uncomfortable at present, I can only hope this gets better after wearing it for awhile. Written by Ed, 2016-07-29
Poor Fit / Disappointed
Hello, I have tried other straps which have the velcro, and they end up either being really uncomfortable, or the velcro reacts with by skin. I was excited to see this and measured my head several times, making certain the measurements were correct. From the firsts night, it was so tight and did not feel comfortable at all like I thought. By the second and third nights, it may start on but is off by the time I wake up. Either because of how bad it felt or because it loosened I do not know. I am searching for another one somewhere... too small for too long
I didn't find the reviews before buying this thing. CpapXchange needs to take some responsibility for continuing to have the same old measurement instructions up after many many gripes that it is just flat WRONG. If you have a measurement that is lower than 21 you should fit small, but it won't ever happen. I am using mine by putting relaxing cuts in each of the straps, but it won't hold up very long that way. I was under 20" and should easily fit small according to the website. I measured as described and was well within the measurement for a small, but it is so tight it is uncomfortable. Went back to using the adjustable chin strap. Well constructed. Written by cpap user, 2013-07-18
Good product, sizing all wrong
I couldn't believe that I was a small based on the chart, so I had someone else to measure me based on the instructions on the website. The same result by 2", so I ordered the small. Promptly shipped and received, but I woke up in the night with a terrible headache from how tight the chinstrap was. I know I was wearing it correctly as this was replacing one I've worn for years but lost on a trip. I ordered a medium the next day which was also promptly shipped and received and fits fine. Chin Stap Works, but
The chin strap does work but it would be nice if it has some adjustment too it. It is a little tight and a way to loosen just a bit would be helpful. Written by JAS, 2012-08-20
Very happy with this chinstrap!
I have used this chinstrap for a little over a year and just recently bought a replacement. It is very reliable! Written by dgriffin, 2012-08-18
Chinstrap that works for a woman
I have a severe mouth breathing problem but full face masks don't work for me. So I use the Breeze nasal pillow mask plus a chinstrap. I have tried a lot of chinstraps but most of them are too big. The small size Puresome Ruby Fixed size chinstrap works great. It is soft and cool and doesn't smash up my ears. It lasts for months (I handwash in cold water with mild soap, then hang to dry). This time I bought two so I always have a clean one handy. Written by Sue, 2012-02-22
